I've got no idea what this is. It seems to be hard and attached to the coral or disc. A best guess from me would be some type of egg designed to withstand nuclear war. I'm probably wrong...

It hasn't been proven that it causes a spread of more to pop the bubble in tank, but still. Don't chance it. Take the rock out, cut off the algae and put the frag back in.

Yea it’s interesting. When you think about it logically - popping the bubble and releasing the spores in the tank would cause more to show up. But Emerald crabs get rid of bubble algae to where is doesn’t come back. I have seen this in my own tank. They pop it and eat it still releasing the spores. So who the heck knows. As Narazbad said don’t chance it.

Ventricaria. I see one every so often. I think they're cool. It only Forms a single bubble.
Whether it can spread by breaking the bubble depends on a few factors. Like ripeness, filtration, filter feeders. This kind wont ever be an issue.

pull the frag and cut it off and swish it in a cup of saltwater and return it to the display...

I was wondering if those were worms or cyno.

I would be a little more concerned with the flat worms. I didn't even notice them when I looked at the pic on my Iphone. Try a Melanurus Wrasse, I have a buddy who's tank was infested and the wrasse pretty much took care of every single flat worm in about 2 weeks. The fish has a little pot belly from eating so many.

Personally I would just leave the flatowrms. Unless you have epic proportions, who really cares.

Melanurus Wrasses really look good though and they eat the worms. LOL ;)

So you're saying it's safe? I'll have to look at it when I'm not exhausted (finished Airshow Day 1, Day 2 tomorrow), and if it's easy to remove I will. If it's safe and difficult I might just leave it.

Yeah, I noticed, posted something the other week. Just been REAL busy. Slave driving History 101 professor thinks we're doing American History 40something.

Oh, it's epic. Done a few suction frenzies over the past few weeks, but I don't think I've made a dent, yet... Small tank too, so I want to make sure I'm REAL on the balll if I use a chemical. I don't know that the tank can support all that dieoff real well without me being 'Johnny on the spot'.
