My niger trigger has been fighting ich for well over a month now. She has been in iso with my wrasse since the beginning of january, with spots coming and going constantly.
I have dosed copper, (removed three weeks ago) tried fresh water dips, meth blue dips, herbtana, fungal medication, and nothing but garlic and vitamin enriched foods for the last three weeks. (no chemicals or medicine in the water)
Big problem is she is at my old house right now so I get daily trips for a few minutes at a time to go see her. I am going to move them both this weekend so I can have better time to watch over them.
No lights have been on the tank except for daylight..and she had cloudy eyes which I think she still has to some extent. She takes food when it is directly in front of her but usually does not pursue it.swims very little, usually hangs out in a corner with her nose pressed into it..
I'm out of ideas. The wrasse is doing fine but I don't want to put him in the main tank until she has cleared up. Thinking about putting him into his own ten gallon for a few weeks to see how he does then trying him in the display.
Any suggestions? I don't know parameters, but am keeping a hypo saline environment as much as I can. Not being over there kinda causes issues with that..
The tl;dr version is..sick fish. Help?
