I was noticing these growths on a few acros I will probally chuck them so it does not spread unless there is a way to cure it. What is it?

That really doesn't look to me like algae. Looks like a crazy crab or spider. If it is, could it be causing the growths?

i think tony was talking about the fuzzy thing at the base in first pic turns out it is DICTOYA. Stuff on the coral im waiting for the local expert to give me his diaganosis

Can you please put a Lettuce Sea Slug on that dictyota? I know everyone says they eat hair algae but in teh wild I always found them appearing to eat dictyota...I've been dying to try it out in an aquarium.

we can give it a shot if u want im still leaning toward the scopas tang, naso tang, or rabbit fish. I think they will eat it faster but why not throw in a lettuce slug

Kinda reminds me of when a vermitid (sp) worm gets in one and the coral keep growing over it. I know on r2r they said aefw bites but doesn't look like the ones I had. I suppose you have dipped it already
