I have been in the saltwater hobby for about 22 years and in that time i have met some outstanding folks. This lil article is not about them. I'm a grown man, fairly well travelled, and a lil edumucated and I realize in every group of people not everyone is always going to be.....exemplary. matter of fact some folks are just ****, or at least capable of doing ****py things. This is the lil group of folks I am going to rant a bit about. For those of you in the hobby and on this forum that don't want to read anything negative this is your last chance to stop reading. I have many friends in the club, I promote the club whenever I get a chance, and have introduced quite a few folks to the club because I feel the club can be a huge wealth of information and is generally full of fun, like minded folks. I, just like many members, often sell,buy,trade in the market place, **** its just fun to do and most times you can really help someone out. I know of a certain member that does some really shady **** and I really want to put that someone on blast. I don't care about profits,losses,etc. I don't care how much money they make on a deal, this isn't about that. what I do believe in is paying people what you owe, especially before buying and selling more ****. purchasing something on good faith has been done for a long time with club members because , well, we feel we can trust other club members to do the right thing. I've done it many times for many members myself, however for this one individual, that is simply not the case, this member bought something on good faith from another member,then sold the item,bought other things, sold them,etc,etc, and still has not paid the other member back, this has been going on for over a month. This IS WRONG. I am not the person that is getting screwed, but i am that persons friend and a club member and as such i am going to tell you this from the bottom of my heart, you misrepresent everything, EVERYTHING that this club is about and you should be ashamed of not only what you are doing, but the type of person that you are. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID,YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, MAKE IT RIGHT, just because you changed your name,doesn't make your debts disappear. Time to stop being THAT guy. Man up,pay your debts and try to embrace what this hobby is all about and you might end up being an asset to the club one day and not be embarrassed and have to hide behind different screen names. This is a small town, and a small reef community,word gets out quick and yer name is already mud in my book. Change yer ways.
