looks like you might need a third light for the center....but other than that it looks great so far.....whats that tree looking coral in the middle in the shade?

Sant, Yeah I'm gonna add a third light, works really slow right now so I'm not sure where I can do it, the coral in the middle is a tree coral behind the flower pot, not sure what kind of tree coral though.

not a kenya. been there and seen it. not sure what it is though. didn't have a regulare texture of a leather but i'm no expert on leathers either.

Hey Ron, I got the tank drilled. You can have sunny pick it up tomorrow if you want. I got the tree coral from a member on here his name I believe was "vegaskid" not too sure. I know it grows like a weed. Super fast. Ha. It out grew my 40 gal breeder it about 4 months. Now let's see how long it takes to blow up in its new home. It has no appealing look to it but o well. When it grows some more ill cut some for the beloved fellow reefers lol.

They're both different kinds of finger leather, aka sinularia genus corals.

Um I was agreeing with you. The picture I put up is of my son's finger leather. We bought it from Live Aquaria seven or eight years ago. He also has a Leather coral (none finger) and neither resemble yours. But if Mike says yours is a finger leather coral I'd bank on his opinion. See disclaimer below.

thanks, after you said that i was like yaaaa i have too, im just worried it may be alittle much, 3 250w =750watts total. i hope its not to much.. i cant wait till i have the money to build a canopy with a adjustable rack so i can move them up and down and so they can also be level and evenly spaced. i also need to get 3 new bulbs, thinking about the Ushio 20k. ive seen them first hand at i really really like the look. there just alittle on the expensive side...

thats a perfect amount I would say(4 watts per gallon).....I think max is like 8 watts per gallon....im not sure but I was reading something like that.......yea ive seen those but motorized if thats what youre saying, they are pretty sweet to, no hassle at least. Are you still gonna add more live rock?

My 180 has 3 250's on it. I think it's going relatively well.

I also had 3 250's over my old 180 plus 8 T5's. If memory serves your aiming for 8 watts per gallon on a reef tank. This was before people started talking PAR though.
