Just added this to my tank.
It's controlled threw my apex. The return turns off 30 seconds later it adds some food and then 10 mins later it turn the return back on. This happens twice a day. I have a mixture of formula 1 flakes and formula 2 pellets with a little coral frenzy mixed in.
Well see how this goes...

sweet kent. one day i'm actually going to spend the bucks for an apex. i do have a daily double batery operated feeder i got in a bunch of stuff i bought not sure if it even works as i never tried it. I figure if i'm going on a trip with my family i'll just get a friend to look in and feed. my reef can go a week without me with just a little food being given. change the water before leaving and short of something really bad happening they would be fine.

I got it more or less because I'm really into the automation of the tank. It will be nice to have for when I travel, but it's more to appease my gizmo addiction

lol whats that they say about boys and their toys? the only diffrence between men and boys are the price of their toys:) i'm a gadgit kind of guy but have lots of bills and things that have to be bought before i step off into a 500.00 controler. after i get my new sump, stand, skimmer and tank and more lights maybe then i can save some cash for the controler.
