Acclimating process (all but copepods & brine) with or with out QTing the Live stock you may want to add dipping the live stock if Qt-ing them or not.

Step 1: recieve life stock from LFS

Step 2: remove from bag and place in dark area Sump if applicable if not acclimate with lights off in DT Let sit for 15-30 mins.

Step 3: Once temp is close to the same open bag out of sump or DT area. Pour slowly in clean container....

These next steps can be done several ways. (here is a couple)

Step 4-1: I personally use airline tubing with the ball vavles and a zip tie to a rock bal valve is for the container, you can adjust the flow. start slow 1-2 drips a second depending on the size of the fish or live stock container. then gradually move the drip rate up every 15-20 mins. until the time has been reach for the specific animal you are acclimating (some are longer then others)

Step 4-2: same as above but no airline tubbing either a clean cup or baster and squirt in the container every 10-15 mins.

Step 5: once acclimation is complete then empty half of the water in a drain not back in the tank (as you may not want someone elses water in your system) this is a time some make up water should be set aside.

Step 6: then either a Net or a Speciamen container and place the fish in the DT with lights off.

Step 7: let the new addition settle in with the lights off and and wait until the next day if you have the patients.
