brown algea?? vodka method???

i have noticed purple corline on back of tank,,, i luv it but i have also noticed brown stuff as well... i want the purple not the brown,,, is it true the vodka method works???

I dose vodka, my nitrate and po4 are zero. I still have a little brown stuff. I'm sure the alage in my tank consumes the po4 and gives me a reading of zero though. Reed up on vodka dosing here

You could also try the Hydrogen Peroxide dosing...
