whats a good brand???? would i have to get 2 each up to 150g... and put em on each side of the tank??? for a 300g tank

I use Finnex. Never had a problem. Bulkreefsupply or aquacave carries them

Is there a reason you're not putting them in the sump? Most people try to hide heaters, even when they are in the tank. Unless you are going to put them right out in the flow of your recirculation and not behind rocks and such, I'd re-consider putting them in the tank or not. Otherwise you'll make hot and cold spots in the tank. Just my thoughts.

in the sump ??? wouldnt that evaporate water a lot more than usual???

Don't know that's why I'm asking ... I can't keep my sump cool according to my thermometer it reads 82 f ...

i wasnt putting them in the sump lol ?????? i was putting them in my tank,, i was looking for somewhere local if possibl

i will put em in sump??? if so do i need 2 for 150g each

Tank should be the same temp though out.

maybe its the refugium light,, thats is why its 82,,, my sump water feels warmer as well when the light is on,,,????

I retract this statement. If the heaters in the sump the water leaving the sump should be warmer the what is returning. If lights are off.

i just put two heaters in the sump,, i had one is for 60g and the other is unknown lol,,, just untill i buy me two,,,

I removed my heater since it was at a stable 78 with AC on I felt no need for it and unplugged it sump read 82. now that the weather changed its at 76 and my sump reads 80 ... my house was at 77f before now its 74
