I just got myself a BSJ!

He's already dug himself a nice burrow, and eats which I take as a good sign. His head is a little dull colored though, not as yellow as I'd like. Is this caused by stress via shipping/acclimation? Or is it something that may change over time?

Lastly I'm improving with some mesh screen, I went to both Lowes and Home Depot and was unable to find the polypropylene mesh - does anyone know a for sure place I could get some of this?

Well I accidentally left the screen off of the tank for one night....one night, and he was found on the floor this morning =/ He didn't even last a month. It really doesn't feel good flushing $100 down the toilet.

Really depressing honestly - he was kind of the reason I paid so much attention to the freakin tank.

I had one that jumped the first night in the tank... awoke to check him out and almost stepped on him.... Sucks...

By the way if anyone is looking for that mesh to put over your tank at the local home improvement stores....

It's called bird netting and its in the garden section. It comes in 1/2 and 1/4 inch openings. If I am understanding what you guys were/are doing.

I use to have netting on my tank, but hated the look, so I dumped it.

I'm just wondering if he was attempting suicide every single night and just got lucky last night....bah! There goes the most entertaining fish in my tank.
