Thanks from Greg and Donna, at BRA and Lee, Lvfk Will, and any others for my questions. Its done finnally and is now cycling. Gonna be a big step-up from 55 to 240. But I feel I mastered 55, and the 55 will eventually end up in 240. Can't wait to put some pics up. BTW being a begginer plumber and not knowing anything was a little expensive and time consuming, haha.

Stupid as it is, I always enjoy a good plumbing/sump pic. It's the diy section, not the look at my awesome coral section.

well heres my 55G and the 240G cycling. The sump was LVFK's when he had 240 I did have to modify it a bit and drill a hole for skimmer to flow in to. Its an MR2R skimmer from reef creations(recirculating). The build still has the oceans motion 8 that LVFK had. I am actually using three pumps to run tank One for the oceans 8. One for the skimmer, and then the return pump. Has great flow going through it.

skimmer to sump. The water loads on the back side by a smaller rio pump.

It's a re-circulating skimmer. Mr2r says it handles up to 500 gallons?

Anyone ever had a problem with GFI going off from halides? Some reason mine keep reseting after a few minutes of halides.

Tank has been cycling for over a week now. The results from water are pretty good. Phos is somehow a 0. However nitrate is still pretty high at 20ppm.

Do you have a 15 amp or 20 amp gfi??? The intial jolt does pop them sometimes... Go with a 20 if your not already...
