My laphestrea has been receding for several days now. Its a nice piece, and is 1/3 gone now, I finally decided to frag it and save the coral. I got the diamond blade for my dremel. I was cutting but the piece is so thick I could not go all the way through. I decided to caughterize the edges with the blade cutting a line seperating the live tissue from the dead will this stop the deterition?

nope. It might be the war coral near it but I never see the feelers reach that far. where as chalices reach and kill my war corals 5 inches away. I had the same thing happen with my setosa awile back left it alone a few days ressession kept spreading, then broke off the dead part and its coming back pretty quick.
