I AM JUST NEEDING TO COME BY SOMEONES HOUSE THAT HAS A 150W BALLAST SO I CAN SEE IF MY LIGHT IS WORKING FINE.
I BELIEVE (ALMOST KNOW FOR SURE) THAT IT IS MY BALLAST THAT IS BAD. IF NOTHING ELSE WOULD SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE
I CAN FIND A PLACE THAT MAYBE WORKS ON THESE LIGHTS. THE ADAPTOR ON THE CORD IS ONE THAT WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE
FEMALE END IS ABOUT 7/8 INCH ON THE BASE AND ABOUT 5/8 INCH ON THE OTHER END. THE CORNERS ARE BEVELED IN A BIT.
I GUESS THIS IS PRETTY COMMON WITH THE 150W BALLAST. IF YOU HAVE ONE WHERE I CAN JUST PLUG IN MY LIGHT TO SEE
IF ALL IS WELL I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. THEN I CAN ORDER A BALLAST FOR IT. THANKS DON 384-9930

cant you just check for resistance with a multimeter on the bulb?

Not on an arc lamp.

I have been off the computer for a while and just getting back. As landsailor wrote no you cannot check for resistance. I was at atlantis yesterday
and for a momemt the lanp started to warm up. The ballast i have is acting weird. Every couple of minutes a voltage comes thru it for only two to
three seconds. I have a very good multimeter but it is not catching more than about 3.0 volts for some reason. I cannot explain it but i am sure the
ballast is history. If i do not hear from anyone to test it i will simply order out a new ballast. Thanks for your time.
