SO, I have an 84G long tank 72 L x 15 W x 18 H

Right now I have 2 x 30in corallife T5HO lights on it, needless to say it looks cluttered.

What I am thinking about is putting BoostLED Par 30 kits on it LINK (http://www.boostled.com/collections/par30-reef/products/par30-reef-lamp-with-lamp-clamp)

Does anyone have any experience with these ? I am thinking 4 of them should work ??

Any other ideas ?

i used one on a biocube 14... i liked the light quite a bit.... however i think you would need more than 4 on a tank that is 6 feet long.... the effective spread on those bulbs is aprox 12-14 inches... of course lenses and the height that you hang them will determine the actual spread, but i would guess you would want ATLEAST 5-6 also make sure you like the spotlight effect, because you will definitely will have it. (i have seen some good looking tanks setup this way)

72" LED would be much cheaper if you DYI. If you went Aqua Illumination SOL, it would cost $2600 minimum.

you could very possibly get away with just two ai sol units... according to their website they have a 36 inch spread at i htink it was like 24 inches... we're only going 18 in this case.

two ai sol units w/o controller = aprox 850ish

i saw on salty supply two with a controller aprox 900...

Reef Geeks is recommending six on a tank that size. This tank is shallow so it may work with less.

I have a 180 (6x2x2) running on 3 with lots of LPS doing very well.
